Verlinden: Taking The Pillbox

This compact yet dramatic vignette shows a cross-section of a concrete German bunker being assaulted by GI’s.

The interior shows a wounded German german soldier sitting in the corner next to his MG34 aperture. On the exterior side are two GI’s attacking, one of which is in the process of attempting to toss a hand grenade into the bunker.

This is a simple photo-etched set that allows you to add the stand-off mesh wire protection that was adopted by some Sherman tank crews operatiing in the Pacific theater of operations during WWII. The photo-etch is extremely fine and has relief detail to suggest a woven appearance.
