Tarangus has announced that their new 1/48 scale J32B Lansen fighter will land in the shops during August. Tarangus has released some images of the plastic and resin parts.

In August, the J32B Lansen kit will be delivered to hobby shops around the world. The kit has a completely new fuselage, new exhaust in resin and even the ejection seats are new! This kit will build into a very nice representation of one of the longest serving fighters in the world. The box art is once again by the artist Tor Karlsson, well-known to most Swedish aviation enthusiasts.

B-26 Marauder Walk Around – Squadron/Signal Publications

Squadron/Signal Publications have just added the B-26 Marauder to their list of incredibly useful Walk Arounds:
SS25069 B-26 Marauder Walk Around (Paperback) ISBN = 978-0-89747-689-8 $18.95
SS65069 B-26 Marauder Walk Around (Hardcover) ISBN = 978-0-89747-690-4 $28.95
by David Doyle.

From bombardier’s station to the pads for the tail gunner’s knees, this all-new Walk Around explores the Marauder up-close and in detail, surveying the intricacies of Martin’s WWII medium bomber in depth. Exclusive photos illustrate the rarely seen inner workings and outer features of the B-26G, with additional coverage of the B-26, B-26B, and B-26C. Initially dubbed “the Widowmaker” due to its high wing loading and high landing speeds. But following refinements in the design and improved crew training, the B-26 ended the war with the lowest loss rate of any USAAF bomber. The B-26 Marauder saw service in Europe, the Mediterranean and the Pacific, including use by the United States, the Free French, the Royal Air Force and the South African Air Force. More than 220 photographs, plus numerous detailed line drawings and color profiles; 80 pages.

Inside the box we will find seven sprues of light grey plastic, including one clear of the cockpit glazing and few other details. The kits fuselage is sliced in halve enabling the modeler to expose the engine. As there is a cart for the aft fuselage included in the kits the modeler can arrange some simple diorama of airplane maintenance.

Producer offers five painting schemes: three “special” of US Air Force – “Skyblazers” Aerobatic Team and two from the Korean War, including very popular and well known “The Huff”. Two others are of Italian Air Force and Royal Air Force.
